Preschool that is. And only 2 mornings a week, for just 2.5 hours at a time. It will fly right by that’s for sure. I figure it’s just enough to ease her & I into it, and she’s more than ready. She’s always bringing me her preschool “homework” books at home to practice writing her letters or learning about science or math. I think she’ll most benefit from the socialization that comes with school as well as learning that there are rules to follow via someone other than her family. She is often shy when meeting new people, so I’m hoping that this helps her learn to open up quicker to adults & practice making new friends all on her own. Maybe her teacher can even help her learn how to clean up at a pace faster than that of a snail 🙂 It feels weird to say that she’s starting school already. My almost 4 year old. But she’s ready & excited to go.

I found this fun little school desk via FB marketplace for free! Such a great find. One of those moments that just is meant to be, since all that I did was open up my phone to FB marketplace the one day and bam, there it was begging for me to come pick it up. I made Rob go with me to ensure it was a safe transaction of course. Great success. Next year I plan on offering back-to-school mini sessions for those interested & I can’t wait to elaborate on the theme!

For now, I did a quick shoot with Mikayla. We got annihilated with mosquitoes unfortunately, so let’s just say this shoot was completed in record speed & not exactly at the ideal lighting & location that I had originally visualized. But that’s what happens when I postpone a shoot idea for after we get back from 2 weeks of vacation, and so close to school at that. And this outfit that my Mom got for her… I think I regretted putting her in that, for it seemed to only age her even more. My little girl is growing up.
