Dress Meets Mechanic | “Wear the Dress” Sesh
So Ashley had contacted me several months ago to collaborate on a fun photoshoot involving a car, her wedding dress & a garage where her husband is a car mechanic. I was super stoked, because this is a unique project, far from my family/newborn/lifestyle shoots. She really paid attention to detail and brought fun accessories, as well as a bright, yellow Mustang. We laughed & had a wonderful time working together and capturing both of our visions for this shoot. It’s always such a pleasure working with Ash, as she’s so easy to talk to & always up for a good laugh. She has a very hard time working her “serious face”… as a smile was always lingering right behind 🙂 We decided to venture down the road towards a pretty lane of trees I had passed earlier to complete our adventure. However, after finding that the road was blocked off, we backed out of the driveway, and I down into a grassy slope, that apparently had one of those sharp, metal tunnels. That mixed with my back left tire called for a bad ending to our fun night. Luckily, I was stranded alongside the road with a car mechanic! Oh, the irony. Cars were beeping driving by as they looked at the beautiful bride standing there watching her groom change a tire. I still can’t believe that no one had stopped to offer help. I mean… hadn’t the thought gone through anyone’s mind that perhaps it was the bride & groom’s car that had problems on their way to their reception? (Just for fun, I had to include a shot of the car mechanic “working on his wedding day” fixing my tire!)
Thank you for your help guys. And thanks for being troopers, and bringing your creative eye to the table for our session. I had so much fun shooting & editing these, and hope that you both cherish these for years to come 🙂
Anyone else want to do a “Wear the Dress” session?!!! So much fun.
